How we handle Long-Distance
Long hauls fall apart at the transfer, where one company loads you and strangers hand it over at the other end. That transfer never happens here. Your things get loaded onto the Redlegs truck once and unloaded on the date we promised, the entire trip under a single written figure.
A number you get in writing before we roll up
Lots of Cincinnati movers put you on an hourly rate and let the clock write the bill. We turn that around: a firm figure in writing before a Redlegs truck leaves the yard, with packing, any storage, and the hillside stair work already priced in.
Tell us about it
Walk us through the place, the stairs and the street, and the dates you are looking at, over the phone, on a video walk-through, or in person.
Get one figure
A single flat figure comes back from our Walnut Hills office, most often the same working day you call.
Book when you are set
Asking costs nothing. Nothing is owed for asking; you commit only when the number and the day suit you.

Your move is never sold off to a broker, farmed to day-labor, or handed to someone you have not met. The folks carrying your couch are on Trevor’s payroll in their Reds-red Redlegs shirts, and every truck out front is ours, lettered with our name and kept up in our own Walnut Hills shop.

The Redlegs Moving promise
If a Redlegs move ever goes sideways, owning it and setting it right is on us. You get a locked arrival window, a claims process in plain Cincinnati English, and a crew that guards your home like their own.
✔ On the clock — the Redlegs crew lands in the window we gave you, or you get a call first.
✔ No rounding up — you sign the figure once and that is the whole total, to the minute and the dollar.
✔ Straight-up claims — anything is noted on the spot and settled on paper, no runaround.
✔ No hidden line items — fuel, mileage, and the hillside stair carries already sit in the figure.

Long-Distance FAQs
Are the movers Redlegs staff or hired out?
Our own, every time. Trevor puts a trained Redlegs crew on our own trucks, so nobody skims a broker cut, no day-labor turns up, and no stranger walks into your home.
How is the flat price kept firm?
We base the figure on your actual belongings and how tough the access is, write it down, and hold to it. As long as the load lines up with what you told us, move day lands on the exact figure you signed, with no rounding up.
How much notice should I give?
A week or two out suits most moves, and the first of the month and month-ends go fastest. If a crew has an opening, we will still fit in a same-week or next-day move, so it never hurts to ring us.
What keeps the floors and walls from getting marked?
Runners go down over the floors, the doorways and banisters get padded, and the furniture is blanket-wrapped first, so both the old place and the new one finish without a scuff.
Do you take a deposit?
Only a small refundable amount to hold your Redlegs crew and your date, nothing more. Everything else is due once the job is done, and the estimate is always free.
Do stairs or a piano get charged at the end?
No. A staircase, a steep Cincinnati hillside carry, a piano or a gun safe, all of it is in the figure before the first box moves, so the total never drifts from what you signed.
Ready for a written figure you can plan the whole Cincinnati move around?
Your written flat rate ships out of the Walnut Hills office, usually the same working day you ask.
