What you get

How we handle Local Moving

A move across town goes easy when the crew hauling your things already knows the hillsides and the one-way grid. We pad the furniture, put cloths down on the floors, and work steady rather than rushed, and the figure you okayed on paper is precisely what you pay at the door.

No hourly meter

A number you get in writing before we roll up

Lots of Cincinnati movers put you on an hourly rate and let the clock write the bill. We turn that around: a firm figure in writing before a Redlegs truck leaves the yard, with packing, any storage, and the hillside stair work already priced in.

Tell us about it

Walk us through the place, the stairs and the street, and the dates you are looking at, over the phone, on a video walk-through, or in person.

Get one figure

A single flat figure comes back from our Walnut Hills office, most often the same working day you call.

Book when you are set

Asking costs nothing. Nothing is owed for asking; you commit only when the number and the day suit you.

Reviews from across the metro

I gave Redlegs Moving a call for information and pricing. No one answered and I did not even leave a message, but within five minutes I got a call back from Trevor, who was very helpful. Redlegs turned out to be reasonably priced, very professional, and they moved fast! Trevor and Zach showed up in their Cincinnati Redlegs shirts, and they were friendly, easygoing, and fun to talk to as they loaded and unloaded the truck. They had all of our furniture wrapped and no damage was done to any of it, not even a scratch on our walls. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone. Thanks again guys!

These guys were great from the start! They contacted me almost immediately after I requested a quote. It was a last-minute move and they were able to fit me into their schedule. They communicated clearly and thoroughly so I knew exactly when to expect them, and they hustled and got my items moved as quickly and efficiently as they could. Really nice guys who seemed very trustworthy. Highly recommend!

These guys were fantastic, did a great job, worked hard, and made moving super easy. They really took their time making sure nothing was damaged and had the experience to get large furniture around tight spaces. The whole crew was friendly. I would definitely hire them again.

Who pulls up

Our trucks. Our movers. Nobody farmed out.

Your move is never sold off to a broker, farmed to day-labor, or handed to someone you have not met. The folks carrying your couch are on Trevor’s payroll in their Reds-red Redlegs shirts, and every truck out front is ours, lettered with our name and kept up in our own Walnut Hills shop.

Our word on it

The Redlegs Moving promise

If a Redlegs move ever goes sideways, owning it and setting it right is on us. You get a locked arrival window, a claims process in plain Cincinnati English, and a crew that guards your home like their own.

✔ On the clock — the Redlegs crew lands in the window we gave you, or you get a call first.

✔ No rounding up — you sign the figure once and that is the whole total, to the minute and the dollar.

✔ Straight-up claims — anything is noted on the spot and settled on paper, no runaround.

✔ No hidden line items — fuel, mileage, and the hillside stair carries already sit in the figure.

Local Moving FAQs

How is the flat price kept firm?

We base the figure on your actual belongings and how tough the access is, write it down, and hold to it. As long as the load lines up with what you told us, move day lands on the exact figure you signed, with no rounding up.

Do stairs or a piano get charged at the end?

No. A staircase, a steep Cincinnati hillside carry, a piano or a gun safe, all of it is in the figure before the first box moves, so the total never drifts from what you signed.

Do you move pianos and gun safes?

Yes, and the cost is already in your flat price. Those bulky, hard-to-handle pieces ride on the right board with proper straps and padding, moved by folks who have done plenty of them.

Can you move in Cincinnati winters and summers?

Every week of the year. In winter we salt the walkways and load quickly so nothing sits out in the cold; in the summer humidity we start early and keep pieces shaded. Your window holds whether it is a January freeze or a muggy July afternoon.

How much notice should I give?

A week or two out suits most moves, and the first of the month and month-ends go fastest. If a crew has an opening, we will still fit in a same-week or next-day move, so it never hurts to ring us.

What keeps the floors and walls from getting marked?

Runners go down over the floors, the doorways and banisters get padded, and the furniture is blanket-wrapped first, so both the old place and the new one finish without a scuff.
