Redlegs Moving is a locally owned Cincinnati shop, one crew and one written price standing in for the meter. The people who answer the phone are the same ones who show up at your door on moving day.
- Written flat rate
- No hidden fees
- Licensed & insured
Built at home, run by the owner
Trevor Foster started Redlegs Moving with a single truck, a stack of pads, and one plain rule: put a real number on paper and stand behind it, no rounding up. Cincinnati born and raised, he had seen too many neighbors billed by the hour and hit with a total nobody warned them about. So he did the reverse: a trained crew arriving on our own trucks in the Reds-red shirts, wrapping every piece, and ending on the very number you signed, not a dollar past it.
To this day there is no call center and no broker taking a cut, only the same crew carrying out an Over-the-Rhine walk-up one morning and a Hyde Park home that afternoon, Trevor on the dolly right beside them.
One box truck to the whole Cincinnati metro
None of this came off a billboard. We grew because the Cincinnati households we moved kept ringing us back.
- Truck number oneTrevor got rolling with a single box truck and one rule: a real price on paper, kept to the last dollar.
- Word spread fastCustomers rebooked and sent neighbors our way, and referrals filled the calendar quicker than any ad.
- Out to the suburbsCalls kept coming from Blue Ash, Mason, and West Chester, so we widened our range across the whole Tri-State.
- Storage came nextWe added a clean, climate-controlled space, so a gap between homes stayed simple in any Cincinnati season.
- Trevor still runs itFrom downtown out to Loveland and Anderson, he still works the trucks and answers the phone himself.
One written number vs. the hourly meter
Most Cincinnati movers charge by the hour, then let the clock stack up your bill. Here is one move, priced the Redlegs way beside how it usually goes.
| What matters on move day | Redlegs Moving | A typical hourly mover |
|---|---|---|
| Your price | A written figure locked in ahead of move day | Whatever the hourly meter piles up to |
| Who shows up | Our own background-checked Redlegs crew | Whatever movers were free that morning |
| Hills and stairs | The hillside carry and stair runs priced right in | Often an upcharge at the curb |
| Downtown COI | Filed, with the elevator or dock reserved | Sometimes an extra charge |
| Heavy or awkward pieces | Pianos and safes folded into the number already | Surprise fees on move day |
| The final bill | Precisely the number you put your name to | Wherever the meter happens to stop |

Trevor Foster, ownerOur trucks. Our movers. Nobody farmed out.
Your move is never sold off to a broker, farmed to day-labor, or handed to someone you have not met. The folks carrying your couch are on Trevor’s payroll in their Reds-red Redlegs shirts, and every truck out front is ours, lettered with our name and kept up in our own Walnut Hills shop.
- On the Redlegs payrollTrained, background-checked movers working Cincinnati homes and offices all year.

- Careful is the standardBlanketed furniture, floor runners, and padded door frames before a single piece is lifted.
Hillside streets, historic walk-ups, and four real seasons, all planned for
A Cincinnati move comes with its own quirks: steep, winding hillside streets in Mount Adams and Clifton, narrow Over-the-Rhine walk-ups with no elevator, and weather that swings from muggy July to icy January. We work around every one of them and still hit your window.
Hillside-ready
Steep, narrow streets and long stair runs in Mount Adams, Clifton, and the hilltop neighborhoods, handled with the right crew.
Historic walk-up savvy
Over-the-Rhine and Mount Auburn Italianate walk-ups, third-floor carries and tight stairwells, padded and planned.
Every-season crews
Salted walkways in winter, quick loading in the summer humidity, so your window holds whatever the sky does.
